WOMEN'S WONDERLAND

 SAUDI CUP EXPO 2024

NAN masterpiece for the Saudi 100 Brands exhibition titled "Past and Future, "Modernity reflecting Heritage." This masterpiece pays homage to the unique tradition of the women of 'Asir, Saudi Arabia, who have been painting intricate murals and frescoes on the interiors of their homes for many generations.

The region of 'Asir boasts a rich cultural heritage, and one of its most fascinating aspects is the tradition of wall decoration, which has been passed down through generations of women. This highly structured and feminine art form involves plastering, smoothing, decorating, and coloring the walls of homes with intricate and elaborate patterns.

The architecture in 'Asir is also noteworthy, as it is designed to adapt to the region's abundant rainfall and cold winters. The houses feature solid foundations and walls made of stone, with small, narrow windows. The interior wall decorations, created by the women, reflect the area's cultural heritage and artistic traditions.

To pay tribute to this rich cultural heritage, a red maxi dress has been designed, inspired by the historic houses of Asir. The dress features intricate patterns that mirror those drawn by the women of Asir on their walls. The dress is decorated with stunning blue Swarovski crystals, highlighting the murals' beauty and complexity.

Hand embellishment

The dress itself is an impressive feat of design, featuring ten layers, each concealing hidden gems that reflect the beauty within the homes of Asir. The bold and daring design takes inspiration from the rocks found in the historic houses of Asir. At the same time, the hand-embellished blue Swarovski crystals add a touch of elegance and sophistication to the dress.

We have crafted a crown that embodies the essence of their unique design, inspired by the patterns found in their homes. It symbolizes passion and vitality, brought to life through the power of 3D printing and an array of vibrant colors.

Why do we call it Women's Wonderland?
Despite the risks involved, women continue to practice the age-old tradition of expressing themselves and competing with other women in their community. The patterns on their houses' ceiling, wall, floor, and exterior are meticulously crafted with vibrant colors and intricate designs, including hearts and various shapes. These patterns are not just a reflection of their creativity but also a representation of their cultural heritage and traditions passed down from generation to generation.

The practice of Women's Wonderland is an excellent example of how women can come together to celebrate their creativity and showcase their talent. It is a testament to their strength, resilience, and determination to preserve their cultural heritage despite their challenges.
